United Kingdom removes Portugal from list of countries with restrictions on direct flights

The United Kingdom has removed Portugal from the list of countries for which it maintains restrictions on direct flights to that country. The decision entered into force today, Saturday, 22 August. This means that from today all travel to Portugal is considered safe by the British Government and no person arriving in the UK from Portugal will be subject to the obligation of a quarantine period.

The United Kingdom thus joins Poland, Greece, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Romania, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Cyprus in lifting restrictions on the mobility of passengers from Portugal.
